Sometimes, a glamorous career conceals many of the most tragic stories. Lolo Jones, who won both the USA championships and the World Champion in hurdles was able to achieve her position with a lot struggle and an immense amount of perseverance. Jones had the most difficult of lives as the child of a single mother with five children. Her mother was always changing her location and she was a resident within the basement. The sporadic lifestyle made it necessary for Jones to switch to a new school every year, until she began high school. At Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones resided apart from her mother in order to pursue her interest in track events. Jones stayed in four residences during her high school time to pursue her education at one location. Jones, a cellist in the school's orchestra and recipient of Gatorade Iowa track and field athlete of the year earned her an award called the Gatorade Iowa Athlete award at the end of high school. Jones at the time she was going to college, was regarded as one of best hurdlers. In 2002, she was the winning athlete in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. In addition, she was an athlete who placed 2nd in the 100 meters relay. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles competition in the years 2003 as well as in 2004. Jones' career began with the year 2005, after she finished her education. She began to train to pursue a track career that would be successful. In 2005 she was first in Torino Memorial race. Torino Memorial race, in 2006, she won the Heusden and Ostrava racers.

Brandt relocated to Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the end of her teens. After being discovered by local casting directors, Brandt took on the role of Naevia on the Starz hits Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. She was among the breakout stars for this series, working with Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi. She was on the show's hit Netflix show Lucifer which had a 6 year run. Lesley-Ann Brandt is a South African actress born in Cape Town on the 2nd of December 1981. She is quite a talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt moved along with the entire family to Auckland New Zealand in 1999. After several years working in retail, she was promoted to the post of IT manager consultant. Lesley was featured in a variety of commercial advertisements after a few modeling assignments. In 2008, she completed her college and began studying Meisner techniques for studying. Lesley Brandt's debut notable performance was in the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity, which aired in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on the New Zealand's television show Shortland Street in the role of a support actor. She also appeared on a sci-fi drama arrangement This Is Not My Life that is based on the fictional city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast as Naevia the young hostage and depicted later on in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
