Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian who has been living in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has graduated from NIDA. From a young age, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with some of Australia's top storytellers, stars of performance and visionaries behind the scenes in film, television and theatre. Yael is an internationally acclaimed actor throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with great acclaim, moved to her new home in New York City. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is located within Bushwick Brooklyn and is based in the city to promote innovative creativity, new writing.
